QBIC receives 1,1 M$ in funding from the Government of Canada

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, today announced the awarding of $1,134,445 in non-repayable funding to the QBIC. This financial assistance will enable the organization to continue offering its pre-incubation and incubation programs to biotechnology firms through to March 31st 2011. Necessitating an overall investment of $8,092,750 by the QBIC, this project will result in the creation of seven enterprises and 50 new jobs in the sector.
