What we are, what we do

CQIB is a business incubator specializing in life sciences and health technology start-ups. A private, not-for-profit organization, CQIB receives support from many public and private partners.

Business incubation is an intensive mentoring process for entrepreneurs in the first few years of creating and starting a business.

At CQIB, this process involves:

• A rigorous selection process for admission;
• Access to consulting services and networks;
• Easier access to funding sources;
• Access to infrastructure (equipment and space);
• An environment conducive to business development;
• An exit strategy.

CQIB meets the highest international standards in its field. Its business model has been presented at many international forums and in 2002 the organization earned the most prestigious international accolade, the “Randall M. Whaley Incubator of the Year” award bestowed by the NBIA, an association of more than 1,000 business incubators in 59 countries.

Our mission is to support, innovate, develop, in other words, support start-ups with innovative technologies that will further the development of the new economy.
